Do you feel like your mind is racing? Overwhelmed with worries? Struggling to sleep?Are you tired of feeling anxious? Always on edge?
The right kind of yoga helps! This course teaches yoga and mindfulness techniques base don research which shows efficacy of yoga for anxiety. Alongside your usual care yoga is a powerful way to reclaim your calm and find some liberation from the anxiety that steals your joy and sometimes cripple you.
This six week course is the perfect way to begin your practice, or for experienced practitioners to learn more about the how and why yoga works for anxiety. There is yoga posture practice, breath work and meditation.
Led by Counsellor and Provisionally registered Psychologist Rosie Ryan, this course integrates:
* Breathwork for difficult moments & panic
* Practices to befriend and anxious mind
* Tools for calm in daily life
* Yoga specific to your nervous system
* An introduction to a variety of styles of practices
We are leading the way worldwide developing an evidence for yoga for mental health through a yoga vs CBT clinical trial. In addition to her Psych training, Rosie is also a facilitator on this.
Course cost is $180 or $150 for YS members.
