About this Event
About the class
Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic style of yoga that emphasizes linking breath with movement as practitioners flow through a sequence of poses. The word "vinyasa" itself means "to place in a special way" and refers to the intentional sequencing of movements and postures.
In a typical vinyasa yoga class, students move through a series of poses, such as downward-facing dog, plank, and chaturanga, in a continuous, fluid motion, synchronized with their breath. Each movement is initiated by an inhale or exhale, and the transitions between poses are often as important as the poses themselves.
Vinyasa yoga can be physically challenging and can also be a great way to build strength, flexibility, and endurance. It also has a strong emphasis on mindfulness and breath awareness, which can help to calm the mind and reduce stress.
Overall, vinyasa yoga is a popular and accessible style of yoga that can be a great choice for those looking to get a workout while also cultivating a sense of inner peace and mindfulness.
About the Instructor
Laura qualified as a Personal Trainer in 2014, after graduating with a BA Hons in Dance and Choreography, and has never looked back. She has spent many years abroad working for TUI and teaching for different charities. As a qualified Personal Trainer she loves to help her clients to live healthier happier lives.
In 2018, during a difficult period of her life, she decided to study Yoga. She gained her Yoga Teaching qualification in sunny Spain and has been teaching Vinyasa Flow ever since.
Laura has always believed that in order to be healthy we cannot solely focus on the body, the mind has major importance too. In a world where we are driven, focused and always on the go we can often forget to find time for ourselves. Laura wants to offer a safe space where clients can unwind, relax and have time to themselves. She also believes that Yoga should be accessible to all, no matter their abilities. Come along and reek the benefits of flexibility, balance and strength.
