Yoga Art Camp
All materials and instructions included. Maker projects include:
1. Tie-dye a PALM + PINE t-shirt (included!) using shibori, a Japanese dyeing technique. Shibori is a Japanese technique of folding and clamping your fabric to control the flow of dye, a kind of *elevated* tie-dye. Your t shirt will be taken home to be rinsed after 24 hours.
2. Paint Lake Superior stones before affixing them to a wooden base to make a small work of art to hang.
3. Mending is magical! Learn visible mending, a hand-stitching process that adds beauty while repairing a beloved garment. Bring something needing a fix (such jeans with a small knee blow out) or you can create a decorative patch. Fabrics will be provided; each student will receive a take-home mending kit to continue on your own.
You will be able to take home all of your projects. You're encouraged to attend a yoga class and enjoy a little brunch/sack lunch before Art Camp begins at 11 AM.
Anyone age 16 and older are welcome to attend.
Limited to 12 spots. Sign-up today and look forward to a rejuvenating day of mindful creating!
