About this Event

YodelRoar combines the ancient art of yodeling with the historic music of bagpipes!

Join us at the historic Theosophy Hall Theater for an intimate evening with YodelRoar, the duo of Doreen Kutzke and Andrew McGregor.

Doreen Kutzke is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary musician and composer whose vocal technique draws on yodeling training from the GDR and Buddhist singing studies in Kyoto, Japan. Her work has been featured by The Guardian, BBC, and ARTE TV.

Andrew McGregor is a bagpiper and multi-instrumentalist musician who has performed on a Grammy-nominated album and was named one of "LA's 40 Most Interesting People" by LA Weekly.

Don't miss this rare LA performance!
This show also features a special performance from the band's producer, Jed Smith, an Emmy-winning composer and producer whose cinematic work spans major Hollywood productions, independent films, and television. As founder of Betafish Studios in Los Angeles, Smith has created scores and sound design for projects ranging from Alita: Battle Angel, Godzilla, and Knives Out to films by directors Wim Wenders and Wes Craven, alongside collaborations with artists including Macy Gray, Paul Oakenfold, Dido, and Cirque du Soleil.

You may stream YodelRoar's latest singles, "The Skye Boat Song", "Glengarry's Lament" and "Cumha an t'Seann Chlaidheimh," on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major platforms.
