Center for Human Services is inviting the community to attend the Grand Opening of the Youth Navigation Center of Stanislaus County. The Youth Navigation Center (YNC) will provide shelter, housing and comprehensive drop-in services to any youth or young adults in Stanislaus County between the ages of 13-24, experiencing crisis, housing instability and/or homelessness. The Grand Opening is a chance for the community to see the YNC up close and learn how this facility will end youth homelessness in Stanislaus County. Center for Human Services purchased the building located at 2008 W. Briggsmore Ave, directly next door to our Main Office. This allows for better continuity of services; youth and young adults seeking shelter or drop-in services have access to mental health counseling and substance use treatment right next door.
The build-out of the YNC was funded by the Building Brighter Futures Capital Campaign, which had a goal of raising $1.5 million. $273,000 is still needed to reach that goal and there is still time to donate!
