Yin Yoga Sound Healing

Join Jen Daniels and guest workshop host, Doug Yaeger for an evening of complimentary practices: Yin yoga + Sound Healing.
Yin yoga offers a slower and more meditative practice that gives you space to turn inward and tune in to both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Sound healing offers a chance to drop into deep relaxation with the transformative vibrations from skillfully played gongs, crystal bowls and chimes.
Is your body sore? Do you dedicate yourself to your yoga practice, workout, stretch, and still feel tight? Perhaps it’s time to switch gears and give Yin yoga a try. Yin can complement, rather than replace your existing yoga practice, enhancing your ability to access more challenging yoga poses in your other classes by conditioning your tissues to become more elastic.
Yin yoga poses require your muscles to remain relaxed during the stretch. The practice targets your deep connective tissues—like fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. Its a slower practice where poses are held for longer durations, helping you to stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.
This practice is an invitation for self-care, a release of tension, and mindful repose. No previous yoga experience is required but students should be aware that the long-held stretches of Yin yoga can be challenging. Modifications will be offered and everyone is encouraged to attend.
Workshop Leaders: Jen Daniels and Doug Yaeger
Limited to: 18 participants
