The essence of Yin yoga is surrender. Yin class is an invitation to stretch into grounding shapes for extended periods of time on your mat. Students melt into postures sometimes with the help of a prop, helping to calm the nervous system and restore energy.This class includes the healing modality of Reiki, which is utilized by the teacher to shift energy, sometimes with light physical touch by hand, to help promote the natural flow of energy through the body and energetic field.
