Colder weather and shorter days are ahead of us, and we are so grateful to Norfolk Karate Academy for allowing us to use their space once again.
Join us on Wednesdays at 7:15pm for an indoor practice at the Karate Academy on 45th Street at North Colley Avenue near ODU.
For our Autumn/Winter season we will transition to a Yang + Yin style class with the goal of cultivating more equilibrium. The first portion of the class will be active, and the second portion of the class will incorporate slower stretches for a deeper impact on our fascia system. Classes will end with a gentle sound bath and the opportunity for deep relaxation.
Street parking & a bike rack is available.
Please wait in the lobby & seating area until the class before us is dismissed (shortly after 7pm). Signs will be posted guiding you to the back room where we will practice.
IMPORTANT: *NO SHOES* on the mat floors, please! You may practice directly on the dojo mat or bring your own mat/towel.
Limited amounts of props are available for you to borrow (blocks, straps, blankets, mats) and as always, bring whatever you'd like to make your practice as enjoyable as possible.
As always, the class is donation-based (pay what you can or what you feel the class is worth) and appropriate for all levels of ability.
Bhav Brigade classes always benefit non-profit organizations.
At least 25% of donations will benefit a charitable cause - your teacher will announce it at the beginning of class!
Class will be led by Carly or Hannah.
Please attend classes only if you have no signs of illness.
Remember: no shoes on the dojo mats! 🙂
