A prop supported series of postures will be held for three to four minutes of time for deeper introspection and greater availability to one’s body, so an awareness can be gained on how and what we hold.
Guest musician Arjun Bruggman will delicately accompany this gentle practice. His sounds will provide a subtle layering of lull to soothe the nervous system, affording time to sit with oneself to witness the tissue releasing.
Arjun Bruggeman, world percussionist, drummer, composer and session recording artist, is highly acclaimed for his unique hybrid of East-meets-West rhythms. He brings two decades of experience as a practitioner of Eastern and Western spiritual practices to his playing, along with 16 years' touring as a tabla player with Krishna Das. He's collaborated with artists including David Darling, Belinda Carlisle, Robert Bly, Snatam Kaur, Jason Mraz, Mark Egan, Jerry Marotta and “John Densmore and Robby Krieger” of The Doors. He's currently at work in the studio for a full length record with John Densmore.
With deep respect for ancient musical traditions, Arjun creates a meditative and healing environment that connects listeners to the present moment.
