Yin Out: Yin & Sound for the Queer Community

Sunday June 23rd
6-7:30pm

You are invited to join Cyn for Yin Out. In the sacred space of Yin yoga, we find solace and rejuvenation, transcending the gay-os of the external world. We find our breath, our edge and more importantly ourselves. Everything in the space is through an invitation and consent. Through the art of prolonged, meditative passive poses, Yin yoga can become a vessel for self-discovery and acceptance, embracing the entirety of where we are at in time + space.
Yin yoga invites us to honor our bodies, fostering flexibility and releasing the gripping tension within connective tissues. This practice, rooted in finding our breath and meditative space, serves as a haven for quiet introspection. Yin Yoga promotes better circulation and organ function, fostering overall vitality. The extended holds create a canvas for mindfulness urging us to confront and release stored emotions, transcending societal expectations promoting emotional resilience and balance within our nervous system.
We will be in poses for about 3-6 minutes, with the option of incorporating blocks, blankets, and bolsters. There will be choices. You can always opt out or opt in. Do what your body needs. There will be no hands on assist because I believe you are the experts of knowing what feels right within your body.
During poses and savasana an opportunity for a sound bath will unfold in its natural elemental timing.
Suggested Donation~ $15-25 dollars. Folx with financial privilege please consider donating higher to support those who are in need of community care. This supports a sustaining offering for the studio, teacher and our community in need.
