Are you ready for a new and exciting rock-climbing adventure? The CMC Youth Rock Climbing Summer Club is a 2-week day camp that is designed to enhance each participant’s climbing skill, so they can take this exciting sport to the next level! The first week of camp focuses on single pitch outdoor rock climbing where participants will practice technique, anchor building, proper sport and traditional gear placement, and bouldering. The second week of camp will expand on week one and will focus on multi-pitch climbing, advanced belay techniques, and culminate with the chance to follow on a 3-4 pitch traditional climb. After all the climbing, participants will spend a well needed rest day having an end of course party/picnic and paddle boarding session. Limited previous climbing experience is required, and passion is a must! (2 Week – Day Camp)1st Week of climbing club - June 14th - June 18th,2021
2nd Week of climbing club - July 12th - July 16th, 2021
For participants entering 9th-12th grades
Cost: $950 CMC members/ $1100 non-members. Learn about all the benefits of becoming a CMC member.
Course fees include instruction by AMGA Rock Guides and trained outdoor educators, equipment use, transportation to and from outdoor field sites, field journal, and snacks.
Course meets 8:00am-4:30pm daily, at the American Mountaineering Center (AMC) in downtown Golden. Drop-off and pick-up at the AMC
