The Tivoli
LPMC is solo artist Lee McMahon. 'Macca' launched himself as LPMC in the summer of '22 after spending some considerable time 'on the bench' following the disbandment of his former band, the popular indie rock 4 piece, The Tivoli, in 2014.
He announced his return to the musical fray with immediate popular and critical acclaim for debut album, 'Providence'. The LP spawned highly popular singles including 'Good Times Are Coming', 'Amsterdam Sam', 'Main Street' and 'Jenny'. His return to the live scene was met with great interest as fans packed into Mexborough's Gorilla Beer Hall for a sold out inaugural full band show in May 2024.
Inspired by his working class heritage, the Rotherham based, independent musician's songwriting style holds a strong dynamic posture and often explores themes of struggle and resilience against a backdrop where hope springs eternal. Fuelled by an eclectic range of influences, LPMC delivers his slice of alternative indie rock with bold lyrical imagery across a grandeur of powerful vocals and melodic hooks, celebrated by tastemakers as 'masterful songwriting'.
LPMC's brand new EP 'The Lonely Boy Bar (Part 1)' is out now across all streaming platforms and limited edition vinyl. Part 2 due in 2025.
LPMC has already being championed by BBC Introducing and other pockets of the independent music press and anticipation continues to grow amongst a growing fan base for what's to come next for this rising
His next headline show is at @yellowarchstudios in sheffield on Saturday 12th April.
This is full circle for him in his music career as it's the first time back playing in the city for the first time since my last gig with The Tivoli in 2011 and the venue is what used to be their rehearsal room before going our seperate ways and Lee being out of the game for a while.
