🪓 Yearathon 2: Electric Boogaloo 🪓
Five league seasons. One weekend. Questionable life choices. Incredible memories.
This Labor Day Weekend, Urban Axes Durham is bringing back the event that nobody asked for, but everybody talked about afterward.
**Welcome to Yearathon 2: Electric Boogaloo!**
So... what's a Yearathon?
Think you know marathon leagues? Think bigger.
A marathon league is one season in a day.
An Iron Man is two seasons in a day.
A "Yearathon" is FIVE full 20-match axe throwing league seasons in one epic weekend!!
**What to expect**
🪓 Five 20-match seasons, each with a double-elimination playoff
🪓 Boogaloo tournament: A final Tournament of Tournaments for those who make it through all 5 seasons
🪓 Friday, September 4 through Sunday, September 6
🪓 Alternating IATF Premier and Standard rules
* Season 1 – Premier
* Season 2 – Standard
* Season 3 – Premier
* Season 4 – Standard
* Season 5 – Premier
***All seasons are ABC (always be clutchin')... even the tournaments!
🪓 Planned overnight breaks Friday and Saturday (because even axe throwers occasionally require sleep)
🪓 Limited to just 20 throwers
Yes, it's Labor Day Weekend. We figured if we're celebrating labor, we might as well put in the work.
**Registration**
Full Boogaloo (all five seasons of the Yearathon):
Tickets go on sale July 24
Cost: $400 + IATF league fees ($8 per season)
Can't commit to all five seasons?
Single and multi-season options (1–4 seasons) will become available August 7, depending on remaining space.
Pricing:
* 1 Season – $105 + IATF fee
* 2 Seasons – Save $20
* 3 Seasons – Save $40
* 4 Seasons – Save $80
(NOTE: Regular League Loyalty and multi-league discounts do not apply.)
🤨 Why would anyone do this? 🤨
Because it's ridiculous.
Because it's fun.
Because at some point around Season 4 you'll start making friends with the target.
Because you'll have an unforgettable story to tell.
The original Yearathon was dreamed up by Chris Ross at Total Axe in Michigan, where a small group of intrepid (foolhardy?) throwers completed an entire year of league play over one Labor Day weekend (20,850 axes over 36 hours without a break).
Now we're bringing that same spirit to Durham—with alternating IATF Standard and Premier rules and enough scheduled downtime to keep everyone mostly functional.
If you've ever wondered just how much axe throwing you can fit into one weekend, now's your chance to find out.
