The Year 12 Drama students (ATAR & General) will present their assessed production task on the PAC stage on Thursday, April 18, and Friday, April 19 (W1, T2). For many in the class, this is their last time on stage in an ensemble performance, and they’re hard at work to ensure it’s a great show for you all.
Information:
'Mnemonic', the class’s set text, is a play about memory and history. It intertwines brain theory and three subplots – the discovery of Otzi in 1991, a man’s search for a lost lover while she searches for a father she didn’t know she had and a taxi driver trying to find his place as he travels Europe.
For those who saw last year’s Year 12 production, 'A Curious Assessment', this is in a similar style with a heavy dose of physical theatre and layered symbolism as per curriculum requirements. It does offer a good dollop of humour, too and should encourage lots of post-show debate, which is always fun.
'Mnemonic' is rated M and would be appropriate for students in Year 9 and up.
Tickets are free for this showing but must be booked via https://mytickets.co.
