?YAWANAWA SACRED SINGING/RAPEH WORKSHOP? 18 July 19.30 till 22.00 close to Amsterdam at a magical location in nature?
a space to delve deeper into learning about the sacred songs of this indigenous people from the Amazon Rainforest.
Tuikuru and Eriya will teach us some of the saitis (the Yawanawa name for these ritual chants) The will explain the stories and myths behind these songs.
Alongside this, they will share how to play guitar versions of these songs, which have become so popular around the world.

- Presentation of what are Yawanawa saitis
- How to sing the medicine chants
- The teaching of 3 chants with the correct pronunciation
- Translation and explanation of the songs
- The participants are invited to sing
- Teaching versions on the guitar: the chords and the modern ways of singing
- Possibility to connect with the Rapeh spirit.
