YARD
https://yard.bandcamp.com/
YARD are a gripping three piece electro noise band from Dublin, Ireland. Bridging the gap between techno and noise rock, their music can only be described as an intense and immersive sensory experience. Visually represented by their eerie mascot ‘Bucketman', YARD will leave you sweaty, energized and strangely unnerved.
Having supported bands like Shame, Psychotic Monks, Mandy Indiana, CLT DRP, Scaler, Enola Gay and Chalk and with coveted slots at Eurosonic, The Great Escape and Primavera Pro in 2024, YARD are going from strength to strength. Drawing inspiration from SUUNS, Gilla Band, Death Grips, Nine Inch Nails among others, YARD is creating an experience truly like no other.

Girlfriends and Boyfriends
https://girlfriendsandboyfriends.bandcamp.com/
Originally formed in Vancouver and now based in Toronto, Girlfriends and Boyfriends deliver chiming tones for harrowed souls and new wave poems for the broken-hearted. They have supported mainstay acts in goth, post-punk, and synth-pop, at home and on tour, including The Psychedelic Furs, VOWWS, Lathe of Heaven, Spectres, Lower Dens, and Electric Youth. Their 2021 release “Fallacy of Fairness” charted in the Earshot National Top 50 and is currently at its third pressing, having been issued on vinyl formats by Oráculo (Spain), FDH (Philadelphia), and Dirt Cult (San Antonio). The band has most recently released their retrospective “Lost in the Noise: 2009-2024” B-sides compilation LP via Midnight Mannequin (Minneapolis), promoting the album on a Canadian tour with The Foreign Resort from Copenhagen. Known for driving rhythms and uplifting melody, they draw influence from the transatlantic punk, indie, darkwave, and alternative movements of the late 20th century.

Some Exercise
https://someexercise.bandcamp.com/
Part EBM solo act, part house band at the local scrap yard, Toronto’s Some Exercise concocts anxious and experimental post punk music. Replete with scrambling guitars, clanging drum machines, and molasses-thick bass lines, the project’s output sounds like a ‘Best of 80s New Wave’ CD that’s been shattered, glued back together, and re-recorded from memory. After a European tour this spring, Some Exercise is back on home turf and set to release a new album in the coming months.
