YANIV CLUB POPUP

Join us for a special pop-up experience with the Writer-Director and also the Writer-Actor of the film Yaniv—which has taken the Jewish film scene by storm. After the 7 pm screening of Yaniv at the Coolidge Corner Theatre (separate event, requiring separate tickets), we will host a Yaniv Club, featuring food & drink, playing the Yaniv game and socializing and a talk back with Amnon Carmi and Benjamin Ducoff.

Preregistration for this exclusive event is required - no walk-ins allowed.

This event follows the 7 pm screening of Yaniv at the Coolidge Corner Theatre, but tickets for the screening are sold separately at www.bostonjfilm.org

Tickets cannot be refunded but can be transferred to a different attendee. For security reasons you must contact us in advance to change the name on the registration.

YANIV, the film

When their high school drama department falls victim to budget cuts, and with their spring musical in jeopardy, two teachers from the Bronx find an unlikely solution to their money problems: “yaniv,” a little-known card game with a thriving underground gambling scene in the Hasidic community. The two friends have no choice but to bet the house to save the show, embedding themselves with their ultra-Orthodox hosts in the process. This riotous comedy takes us to the unique world of yaniv and the wild assortment of characters that populate it.
