September 4th is a very special show for us. It is a benefit to help prevent suicides in our state and to kick off Suicide Prevention Month (September). Our annual YANA (You Are Never Alone) Benefit, in partnership with Jefferson Center for Mental Health, will also feature a very special 90's MTV Unplugged-style acoustic set from our good friends, members of Grunge Lite.
We are incredibly thankful to The Buffalo Rose and KBCO for their support.
Proceeds from the bands will go to Jefferson Center to help prevent suicide. Here's why that is important:
Michael Hutchence, singer and songwriter for INXS, committed suicide on November 22, 1997
Suicides in Colorado have more than doubled in the last 20 years.
Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death in people 15-44 in Colorado
We are 5th amongst women and in the top 10 overall for suicides in the US
Please join us and have a blast, while helping at-risk people in our beautiful state.
