Celebrating 10 years of YAMI (Youth + Adults in the Music Industry) this sensational weekend summit in Wanaka is for musicians and music lovers keen to pursue a career in the industry. Yami SouNZ Summit brings in expert tutors with in depth experience in performance, management, copyright, royalties, tech, recording, touring and production. Past tutors include Troy Kingi, Anika Moa, Jon Toogood, Ladi6, Dave Dobbyn, Tiki Taane, Barnaby Weir, Tali, Kings, Julia Deans, and Anna Coddington, plus members from Fat Freddy's Drop, The Beths, Fly My Pretties, L.A.B, The Phoenix Foundation and Shapeshifter. Tutors for Yami 2025 will be announced in Feb 2025.The YAMI workshops, seminars and public performances arm anyone interested in a career in the music industry (artist, producer, manager, composer, promoter, DJ, performer, tech), with the necessary tools and contacts to navigate the music industry - locally, nationally and globally.
