YAL 2021 Boat Cruise

Join the Greek Orthodox Young Adults of Chicago for a fun evening on a cruise of the Chicago River and Lakefront!

Boarding begins at 6:00 pm and the boat departs at 6:30 pm.  Appetizers and drinks will be served. 

Early bird ticket price: $85 (only 50 tickets at this price!); general admission tickets: $95 (only 100 tickets at this price!); Greek time tickets: $105.

FAQs

What ages can attend?

This event is for young adults ages 18-35. While 18-20 year olds are welcome, they will not be permitted alcohol. Idenfications will be checked at the door.

Where is the dock?

The dock is located at 400 N. Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 6061.

Michigan Avenue at the northwest corner of the Michigan Avenue Bridge (now called the DuSable Bridge), at the base of the Wrigley Building on the Chicago River.

When should I arrive?

The vessel will depart the dock at 7:00pm. It is imperative that you arrive beginning at 6:00 pm and no later than 6:30pm. Please consider traffic and parking and give yourself enough time to get to the dock. We unfortunately cannot hold the boat for any late arrivers. In other words, the boat waits for no one!

What if I'm running late?

Please email [email protected] if you are running late, however, the boat must depart at its scheduled time. Please give yourself ample time to arrive, allowing ample time in the event of traffic and transprotation delays. Again the boat waits for no one!

What if it rains?

Our event will go on! Part of the boat is enclosed.  Plus, we will still have plenty of food, drinks, and dancing!

What are my parking options for the event?

AMA Plaza Parking - 401 N. State St, Chicago, IL 60611

AMA Plaza Parking Garage may be accessed off Wabash Avenue, opposite Trump Tower or on State Street near the Hertz sign. Wendella guests can receive a $5.00 off parking chaser coupon from our ticket office. Parking may be reserved in advance by visiting StateWabashParking.com ($5.00 off parking chaser coupon cannot be applied to parking reservations made in advance).

InterPark Public Parking - 403 N. Rush St, Chicago, IL 60611

This is an outside parking lot located at Rush St and Illinois St, with entrances located on Rush St (just south of Illinois St) and on Hubbard St (located just west of Rush St). Wendella guests may park for up to 12 hours at a discounted rate of $12.00 with a parking chaser coupon from our ticket office. Parking is subject to availability

What is your refund policy?

A full refund will be given if requested by July 1st.  Half your ticket cost (50%) can be refunded if requested by July 10th.  No refunds will be given for requests after July 10th.

Can I transfer my ticket to another young adult?

All transactions must be conducted through the Eventbrite platform. All tickets must match the identification of the attendee. If the boat cruise sells out and you can no longer attend, let us know and your ticket will be offered to the next person on our waitlist.

What is the dress code? 

While we consider the boat cruise to be a sassy event, we do like to keep things classy. The dress code is considered cocktail. For men, this dress code calls for a dark suit with or without a tie. Or even a nice button down and nice pants. For women, short dresses that are party ready. 

Where is my ticket?

All tickets will be emailed to the email that you provided when you purchased your tickets.

Can I pay with cash or Venmo?

Unfortunately, this year we are not accepting Venmo, cash, or any other form of payment. If this presents a unique, personal issue for you, please contact [email protected]. Otherwise, please purchase all tickets through Eventbrite.
