Come celebrate with us the 13th Anniversary of our first mission team to the Yahve Jire Children’s Foundation in Haiti!
Our friend Chedlin Justinvil Executive Director and his son Chedwens will join us for dinner prepared by Chef Ron and the Kitchen Crew and music by Van Anthoney’s jazz ensemble, Vanism.
Former mission team members from WBPC, White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Willow Springs, Pinetops Presbyterian, Shaw Divinity Students, Triad Ministries in Winston Salem, Clarksville
Presbyterian in Clarksville VA, and other friends who have traveled with us and supported YJCF all these years will gather together for an evening filled with music, a video and slide show presentation, mission team stories – remembrances - laughter and bloopers and guffaws (like the one when Kathy busted the bidet and flooded the entire first floor of the guest house) , and words of hope and love from Chedlin.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 13th in the Fellowship Hall. We will gather at 5:00 for appetizers and welcoming video. Please let us know you are coming by clicking on the sign-up genius link by July 7th https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F4DABA82EA1FEC07-50061586-mission so we can have a dinner head count. We are asking a $20 donation for adults and $5.00 for kids for the meal. Free Child Care in the nursery will be provided for the little ones.
We are also in the process of receiving donations to the Envelope Challenge. During the next few weeks, you may be asked to pick an envelope and to donate the amount on the envelope from $1.00 to
$100.00. We are aiming to raise $5,050. Of course, other donations are always welcomed. This tax-deductible donation will be presented to Chedlin to be able to get the children settled in their
new temporary home safe from the gangs in Cap Haitian. Please take the time to read Chedlin’s Story regarding his journey the last few years. It is a story of pain and suffering and heartache, and also full of hope and abiding faith that all things are possible with the love of God our Father.
Please contact Kathy Johnson ([email protected]) if you have questions.
