Youth Anthems #28
OK #27 went well, you all booked tickets and actually came, it turns out that you and your families still want to come along (and you brought a load of lovely new faces with you!).
So without further ado let’s have our second gig of 2022. We have three incredible acts playing between 2pm and 4pm. Doors are open from 1:30pm so feel free to come along from then, grab yourself some vegan baked goods (from the incredible Scoffs cafe!) and catch up with your mates before the music starts.
Tickets are £5 for adults and free entry (so no tickets required) for all under 18 (as long as you’re with someone 18+).
It can get a bit loud so ear-protection suggested (foam ear plugs suitable for those 11+ are available from the bar for free but ear-defenders suggested for younger attendees).

Leeds new-wave legends (and absolutely lovely people and long-time Youth Anthems supporters) are back to wow you again. Back with their fifth (!) album “Some People Never Change” the band are at their peak right now with their unmistakable sound of fuzz-led pop-punk influenced new-wave. If you thought they were incredible last time you saw them, get ready to blown away. Make sure you pre-order their new album via their Bandcamp before the gig so you can sing along.

Northern melodic punk not a million miles away from Mega City 4, Leatherface or the Joyce McKinney Experience with their own folk and 80’s influences. Featuring some lovely faces you’ll know from Bear Trade, Pure Graft, Blocko, The Mingers and a ton of others plus they’re fronted by the incredible folk singer/song-write Helen Chambers!

Etheral, glitchy 80’s influenced electronic pop. Fans of Kate Bush, Shakespeare’s Sister and the sounds a Gameboy makes will love slow dancing to Astrofaun.
