Our June event sees the return of one of our favourites XUP! Along with new band GLIMMERPIT, featuring members of Manchester legends, Ill! and newcomers to ABR - Trianglecuts! It's all set to be a dark wave, post-punk, noise extravaganza! XUP
XUP is a band! XUP is Lane on the mustang bass, drums, and vocals. Yep, It’s all Lane, baby. Sounds like Siouxsie Sioux and Joy Division making an arthouse B-movie starring Sonic Youth and Patti Smith. A torn and tortured, predatory, post-punk prowl, gouged by a dead-eyed, sparsely detached, noir-stained sound. Or the bastard child of Nick Cave and Courtney Love. depending on what day of the week it is! Gnarly bass driven dark-wave with cherry vitriol flavoured vocals at its best we think!

Remember when All Tomorrow's Parties used to put bands on at 1am after you'd watched all the guitar noise bands? Trianglecuts are exactly that kind of late night band! they are new to the ABR stage and we can't wait to see them live!
