Xtreme Skills Volleyball Club- Winter Skills Clinic

Clinic Overview

This six-week skills clinic is intended to teach fundamental skills, develop player awareness, and recruit aspiring 14 and under athletes interested in competing in the upcoming club volleyball season in the Bayou Region. At Xtreme Skills VBC athletes will develop a "champion mindset" as they engage in game-like drills to target the following:

• Serving and Receiving
• Setting and Attacking
• Passing and Digging
• Rotational Play
• 3-on-3 Backrow Challenge
• 6-on-6 Showcase Games
• Free Ball and Down Ball Pursuit
• Champion of the Week Award

About Coach Brown

Coach Brown is a California native, and graduate of Long Beach Poly High School, where she played club volleyball as an outside hitter competitively with Cal Jrs Volleyball Club. Following high school, Coach Brown attended Howard University where she played libero and served as captain for 3 seasons. In her junior year, Coach Brown secured the 2009 record for the most digs by an individual player in a single season. Also in 2009, Coach Brown earned the 2nd Team All-MEAC honor as a top libero in the conference. Since 2011, Coach Brown has been a passionate teacher leader in New Orleans, LA. In 2015, Coach Brown was an assistant coach for the McGehee Volleyball Program which went on to win the Division V State Championship. In the 2016 and 2017 seasons, the team finished 3rd and 2nd in the state, respectively. Coach Brown also coached two seasons at Edna Karr High School, with playoff qualification, before committing fully to Xtreme Skills Volleyball Club which she ran concurrently as an individualized skills-based private training program since 2015. Coach Brown is a current graduate student at Northcentral University with a focus in Educational Leadership. Coach Brown loves to coach volleyball and has also been a USA Volleyball Official Referee for the past 9 years. Coach Brown is vibrant, supportive, and all-in!! Coach Brown looks forward to welcoming up and coming talent in the New Orleans Area and developing them on a path towards their wildest dreams. We look forward to seeing you on the court.
