Based on the 1980 cult-classic, movie-musical of the same name, "Xanadu" tells the story of Sonny Malone, a handsome (and slightly dim) street artist in Los Angeles. When Sonny begins to question his artistic abilities, Clio, the youngest of Greek Mythology's Magic Muses, decides to disguise herself in legwarmers, roller-skates and... of course... an Australian accent, and travel from Mount Olympus to provide sweet Sonny Malone with a little divine inspiration. Seems like a match made in Heaven! Until Clio's jealous, evil sisters conspire to curse the couple for all eternity! This Tony-nominated musical lovingly parodies its cinematic namesake, and is chock full of great tunes from the '70s and '80s.
