X Marks The Spot: Autonomic Mapping as a Relational Tool
About this Event
When we feel threatened, overwhelmed, or disconnected, our nervous systems often move into survival mode — pulling us toward hypervigilance, defensiveness, control, or disconnection. In these moments, especially with the people we love most, we can find ourselves showing up as versions of ourselves we don’t always recognize.
In X Marks the Spot: Autonomic Mapping as a Relational Tool, Faith Ellis will guide participants through the practice of autonomic mapping as a way to better understand ourselves and our relationships. Using an attachment-informed framework, we will explore how turning inward can increase our capacity to turn outward — creating more attunement, flexibility, and connection with our partners and ourselves.
Participants will explore triggers, glimmers, regulating resources, and the stories we create in moments of activation. By externalizing our nervous system patterns, we can move from judgment and reaction toward curiosity, support, and deeper relational understanding.
This workshop invites us to see discomfort not just as a problem to solve, but as an opportunity for growth, connection, and greater awareness.
