Ideal for beginners or those that fancy a quick refresher; join us for a hands-on exploration of the core print processes and kickstart your passion for print!
Explore the basics of letterpress printmaking and get hands-on with typesetting and press operation as we introduce you to this traditional printing technique. Whether you’re a type loving, graphic design junkie, enjoy an inspirational quote or just fancy learning all about the heritage and history of the process, why not come and have a go and end your working week with a bit of creativity!?
Please note: This workshop involves the use of magnets to secure type in place. Magnets may interfere with implantable cardiac devices (such as pacemakers or defibrillators), so please consult your physician if you have any concerns.
nb. Our Print Fundamentals sessions take place at our Huddersfield site located on the Piazza in the town centre.
Experience level
This course is suitable for beginners as well as those looking to learn a new printmaking technique or who want a process refresher. The only requirements are an experimental approach and an open mind – oh and clothes that are ok if they get inky (an apron is still no guarantee when you’re learning!)
