We would like to invite everyone to the Evanston Roundhouse, located at 1500 Main Street in Evanston, WY, on October 10th, 2025 at 5:30 pm to join us for the Wyoming Silent Witness Initiative Ceremony. The mission of the Silent Witness Initiative is to "promote peace, healing, and responsibility in intimate relationships in order to eliminate domestic violence." The Silent Witness Initiative began as a national initiative, with Wyoming soon following suit and beginning its own initiative to spread awareness, acknowledge and honor those who experience the devastation domestic violence brings, and educate our communities. The Silent Witness Ceremony is an annual commemoration of the lives taken by domestic violence homicide in Wyoming. Every year, a Wyoming victim service program is selected to host this event in collaboration with the Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, and the Wyoming Division of Victim Services. Uinta County SAFV Task Force is honored to host this year's ceremony, and we are happy to announce that we are doing so with the help of the Uinta County Sheriff’s Department Victim/Witness Program, Evanston Police Department Victim/Witness Program, Uinta County District Court Victim/Witness Program, along with volunteers throughout the community. Victim Service programs across the state, families of the victims commemorated, and the public are all invited to take part in this ceremony. Dinner will also be served to those who attend.
