Wymer Arts Series at UH Rainbow Ahuja Center for Women & Children

Join us the second Saturday of every month in 2024 for FREE activities with artists from the Center for Arts-Inspired Learning. Separate sessions for children in grades K-2 and 3-5. Each class will be from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Join us every month or pick and choose the topics of interest for your child. Class sizes are limited and registration is required for each session.

June's classes focus on dance and movement. July's offerings combine music with learning. See descriptions for each below:

K-2 Dance Around the Clock with Rachel Torowski-Newbould

Get your participants up on their feet while learning about how to tell time. Participants will get to use their imagination and pretend to be clock hands while learning how to tell time to a fun Hip Hop song!

3rd – 5th Grade: Creative Movement with Dominique Patton

K-2: Move and Groove with In Harmony Therapeutic Services

Sing, play instruments and dance while exploring numbers, colors, animals, body parts, sensory experiences and more!

3rd – 5th Gr: Hip Hop Rhyming Essays Workshop with Collective Express

In small groups, participants will collectively create and perform short rhyming essays in a hip-hop lyric format.
