Join us for a festive evening featuring Jerilyn Alline Faulstich and Denise Alline Gurtner, daughters of the man who created Mr. Bingle in 1948, Emile Alline Sr. They’ll share treasured memories, stories, and photos from the creation of this iconic New Orleans character.
Puppeteer and local photojournalist Jeff Kent, who apprenticed at Maison Blanche under Mr. Bingle puppeteer Oscar Isentrout, will also share some of his memories of the iconic snowman and bring a restored Mr. Bingle marionette for guests to take photos with. Kent is also the creator of the WYES classic holiday special “Christmas with Waldo.”
Enjoy light bites, holiday cheer, and plenty of Bingle magic with a visit from Bingle himself provided by Dillard’s Lakeside.
Be sure to dress the part. Prizes will be awarded for the most festive Bingle attire, headpiece, or costume.
WYES senior producer and host Peggy Scott Laborde will host this merry evening celebrating the history, memories, and magic of Mr. Bingle.
