The Retirees Book Club will meet on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Village at Heritage Point. The May book is "Longitude: The True Story of a Lone Genius Who Solved the Greatest Scientific Problem of His Time" by Dava Sobel. The "longitude problem" was the thorniest scientific dilemma of the eighteenth century. One man, John Harrison, dared to imagine a mechanical solution--a clock that would keep precise time at sea.
