We are thrilled to welcome back both new and returning students to another exciting year at WVU’s Youth Theatre Academy! As we embark on this journey together, we look forward to nurturing the talents of our young performers and watching them flourish on stage.

I’m Sterling Gibson, the director of this program, as well as an assistant director for Morgantown Theatre Company, and a recent graduate of WVU’s Theatre program. I’ve had the pleasure of working with many of your children over the years. With a passion for theatre and a commitment to honing creativity, I’m excited to continue providing our students a welcoming experience in the performing arts.

This year, we are introducing a fresh structure with two distinct semesters. Our Fall Semester, September 22nd through November 10th, will focus on One-Act plays and scene work, providing our students with the opportunity to deepen their acting skills. The semester will culminate in a Scene Work Showcase on November 9th and 10th, where our students can showcase their progress.

We are excited to see familiar faces and meet new ones as we create something truly special this year. Join us for a season filled with creativity, growth, and unforgettable memories on stage!
