Armchair Boogie Headlines Free Concert on the Shores of Lake Monona as Honor Among Thieves Opens the Second Concert in San Damiano's Popular Concerts on the Shore Series
Presented by 98.7FM WVMO – The Voice of Monona and hosted by the Friends of San Damiano, the second concert in the three-part summer series features regional favorite Armchair Boogie, with Honor Among Thieves opening the evening beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Concerts on the Shore is quickly becoming one of Monona's signature summer traditions, bringing nationally and regionally acclaimed musicians to one of Wisconsin's most picturesque outdoor venues. Nestled on 10 acres along the shores of Lake Monona, San Damiano Park offers breathtaking sunset views of the Madison skyline and the Wisconsin State Capitol, providing a spectacular backdrop for live music and community gathering.
Honor Among Thieves will open the evening with its signature blend of Americana, folk, and rock before Armchair Boogie takes the stage. Known for their electrifying performances, Armchair Boogie combines bluegrass, funk, rock, and improvisational jams into a sound that has earned them a devoted following throughout the Midwest.
In addition to outstanding live music, concertgoers can enjoy local food trucks, beer and non-alcoholic beverages, and opportunities to connect with community organizations while spending an evening along the lakefront. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the music as the sun sets over Lake Monona.
Admission is free, and donations are welcomed to support future programming at San Damiano Park and community broadcasting through 98.7FM WVMO.
The Concerts on the Shore series concludes on Thursday, August 13, with a special headlining act to be announced in the coming weeks.
