Join us on Tuesday, 12 January 2027 at 7:00 pm in the Unitarian Universalist Church in Eugene, 1685 W 13th Ave, Eugene OR 97402, to listen to Dan Blanchard, OSU Campus Arboretum Plant Curator. He will be presenting "Rooted in Place: My Journey in Public Horticulture and the OSU Campus Arboretum".
Program:
Join Dan Blanchard for a personal look at his journey in public horticulture, from early inspirations to his current role at Oregon State University. Through stories of the people, plants, and places that have shaped his path, he reflects on the experiences that have guided his work and deepened his connection to the landscape.
Along the way, Dan introduces the OSU Campus Arboretum as both a backdrop and a partner in that journey, a living landscape with deep roots and evolving collections that continues to inspire his commitment to stewardship, education, and fostering meaningful connections between people and plants.
