NAIDOC Week's just around the corner and Wungening is in the mood to celebrate with a show of deadly blak pride and community.
So we're downing tools on Tuesday, July 9, closing our community hubs, and coming together en masse for a fun event.
Everyone's invited to come celebrate with us at our FREE family event, with a carnival fun zone, face painting, and a reptile display for the koolangkas, as well as karaoke, tie-dying, painting, music and drumming activities for all.
From 11.00am, there'll be an official Welcome To Country/Smoking Ceremony, with a brief speech from our CEO Daniel Morrison-Bird. And our Elders will be well looked after, with plenty of shade and seating available.
None of our mob, friends and allies will leave hungry, with food trucks, popcorn, fairy floss, a coffee truck, sausage sizzle and drinks available.
