WTS-LA: Metro Planning Updates with Chief Planning Officer Ray Sosa

Ray Sosa is the Chief Planning Officer in LA Metro’s Countywide Planning & Development Department (CP&D). LA Metro’s CP&D is responsible for planning the county’s regional transit system and programming federal, state, and local transportation funds for the county’s transit system, highway programs, and locally sponsored, regionally significant projects of all modes of transportation.

Ray’s transportation career has spanned more than two decades in the Southern California region with a focus on planning and delivering major transit projects, both in the public and private sectors including working at the globally recognized, AECOM, where he served in various roles, including VP West Region Transit Rail Market Sector.

He earned his master’s degree in Transportation planning from the UCLA, and a bachelor’s degree in Government from Dartmouth College.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

For Public Transportation, the closest stop via the Red B Line or Purple D Line is the Pershing Square Station. Obtain a voucher at the registration desk upon checking in for the event. Parking rates are $25 for valet parking.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You can either bring your printed ticket or display your ticket on your mobile device using the Eventbrite app.

Will Corporate Partner vouchers be accepted for this event?

Corporate Partner vouchers WILL be accepted for this event. Vouchers are accepted for individual tickets to monthly Programs (not event sponsorships). What is the refund policy?

Cancellations must be made prior to Friday, June 19th at 5pm in order to receive a partial refund for individual tickets purchased. No refunds will be provided for event sponsorships, however your event sponsorship may be upgraded to a higher level. *Please note that Eventbrite no longer refunds the fees associated with each ticket purchase.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Your registration/ticket is only transferrable to another WTS member. Please contact WTS-LA Membership Chair Yolanda Baber at [email protected] for WTS membership questions.

Registration is closed, can I still register for the event?

Once registration is closed you will no longer be able to purchase tickets through the Eventbrite page. We may offer a limited number of walk-in tickets on the day of the event, but we cannot guarantee that you will receive a walk-in ticket. All walk-in tickets are subject to a $25 late fee.
