WTS-DC 2025 Holiday Party

Join us for WTS-DC's premier event of the year – this year being held at The National Press Club! Our Annual Holiday Party is the kick-off to the season, and a wonderful opportunity to network, and recognize the achievements and advancement of women and minorities in the transportation industry.

WTS-DC will honor area transportation professionals who have contributed to the transformation of the transportation industry and the advancement of women in the industry. This year, Malika Reed Wilkins, CEO & Executive Director, WTS International will present the 2025 WTS-DC Recognition Awards. This year’s recipients are:

• Woman of the Year: Kate Mattice, Executive Director, Northern Virginia Transportation Commission
• Honorable Ray LaHood: Randy Clarke, CEO, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority
• Member of the Year: Morgan Bassford, Senior Communications Project Manager, Epstein Creative Group
• Rosa Parks: Oluseyi Olugbenle, Deputy Director, Public Works & Transportation, Prince George’s County
• Employer of the Year: Northern Virginia Transportation Authority
• Innovation Transportation Solutions: FAA's Assessing Fatigue Risk in Air Traffic Operations, led by Guidehouse

Recognizing the vital role of education in facilitating advancement, WTS-DC also will present scholarships to deserving female-identifying professionals who are studying transportation at community college, undergraduate, and graduate programs in the Washington, DC area. Paul Comfort, SVP & Chief Customer Officer for Modaxo Americas and Host and Producer of Transit Unplugged and Transit Unplugged TV, will present the 2025 WTS-DC Scholarship Awards. If you would like to support WTS-DC’s Scholarship Fund, there will be an option to do so at the Holiday Party’s scholarship tree. All donations are tax-deductible!

Online Registration Closes on November 27, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Registrations are refundable during the online registration period only. To request a refund, please email [email protected] by November 25, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. If you are unable to attend after the registration period ends, you are welcome to transfer your ticket by notifying [email protected].

*You will need a QR code to pass through the seurity gates at the entrance of The National Press Club on the 13th floor. You will receive an email with the QR code the day before the Holiday Party.

Take Metro to Metro Center.

Take the 13th Street Exit, take escalator to 13th Street; you should be at the corner of 13th and G Streets.

Walk one block south to F Street.

Turn right (West) and walk one block to 14th Street

Turn left and walk downhill to the National Press Building lobby.

Enter and take the elevators to the 13th Floor.
