WTQ Access Night: Bike Fitting with Myodetox

Join us at Our Community Bikes for a bike fit workshop by Myodetox and shop night 6:30-9:30pm.

Bike Fit Workshop from 7:00-7:30pm will include:

• Why a bike fit is important and what are some of the benefits of a bike fit
• The components of a basic bike fit
• Basic bike anatomy
• The relationship between: foot and pedal, pelvis and saddle, and hands and handlebars
• Basic changes that can be done at home

This will be an after hours night open to women, trans and non binary folx with the intention of creating a safe and welcoming space to learn more about biking basics & maintenance and to connect with community. WTQ nights are staffed by women and gender variant mechanics. Our Community Bikes has created these evenings after recognizing and acknowledging that many bicycle shops and accessibility to mechanical knowledge is dominated by hetero cisgendered men.

Want to participate in the bike fit workshop? You must RSVP for a spot, capacity is limited and social distancing guidelines will be respected.

Want to swing by without participating in the workshop? No problem - you can also purchase used & new parts, have your bike assessed for service, fix your own bike through DIY stand rental, and connect with staff. RSVP is not required for the drop in after 7:30pm but Our Community Bikes will be observing social distancing, and masks are required to enter the shop. Please do not come if you are sick or experiencing COVID symptoms.
