Don't miss the kickoff of our First Thursday Festival series on Thursday, June1 in the scenic Canton Waterfront Park.
We're thrilled to welcome international platinum-selling artist (and Takoma Park, Maryland native) Eric Hutchinson—a WTMD favorite—to the First Thursday bill! Hutchinson infuses rock, soul, and funk. His latest singalong style album will make for a fun and lively performance. Enjoy his latest hits—"Everybody's Got a Beating Heart," and "Hey Look I Found It! (My Inner Peace)—as well his first big hits like "OK, It's Alright With Me" and "Watching You Watch Him."
We also welcome Asbury Park, New Jersey native, Joe P.—a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who blends elements of rock, folk, and blues to create a unique sound. He cites Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Tom Waits as his main musical influences. His hit single "Off My Mind" has been in steady rotation on TMD over the past year.
Baltimore's very own Whiskey Feathers will kick off the festivities. This six-piece roots rock band has been featured quite frequently on TMD. To get a sense of their sound, imagine if "The Last Waltz" were performed by Nathaniel Rateliff and The Civil Wars in a warm, rustic countryside barn.
Check out local DJs, Em Rabbit & Sweet Spot who'll be keepin' the vibe right in the Reyka Vodka DJ Tent.
WTMD's First Thursday Festivals are a chance for you to hang with friends, discover new music, enjoy local food and drink, and support over 70 Maryland-based vendors.
Be sure to check out the Made In Baltimore Makers Village—featuring handcrafted goods from over 25 local artisans, makers, and manufacturers.
The music starts at 5:30 PM and admission is FREE. No outside alcohol, no coolers, and no glass containers will be permitted. First Thursday Festivals will take place rain or shine.
