What You'll Learn

This qualification provides a fantastic all-round product knowledge. By the end of the course, you'll be able to:

  • Taste and describe wine with confidence using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting (SAT®).
  • Understand how environmental factors, grape-growing, winemaking, and maturation affect the style and quality of wines.
  • Identify the key characteristics of wines made from over 30 principal grape varieties.
  • Explore the major wine-producing countries and regions of the world.
  • Understand the processes for making sparkling, sweet, and fortified wines.
  • Confidently decode wine labels and understand key terminology.
  • Learn the basic principles of food and wine pairing.

Course Structure & Dates

This course is structured as an 8-week evening programme, perfect for those who prefer to learn at a steady pace.

  • Start Date: Tuesday, 13th January 2026
  • Weekly Classes: Every Tuesday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (Jan 13, 20, 27; Feb 3, 10, 17, 24; Mar 3)
  • Exam Date: Tuesday, 10th March 2026
