Join us for a writing workshop facilitated by award-winning author and scriptwriter Gavin Strawhan.
The focus of this workshop is on creating and writing characters through dialogue.

About the author / facilitator:
Gavin Strawhan is the author of the internationally best-selling crime novel The Call, shortlisted for Best Novel at the 2025 Ngaio Marsh awards, and winner of the 2023 Allen & Unwin Fiction Prize. Recently released sequel Slash continues the story of DC Honey Chalmers. Gavin is also one of New Zealand's most experienced scriptwriters whose works include Filthy Rich, Go Girls, This is Not My Life and Nothing Trivial, among numerous other productions.
