How is the medium of writing unique from all other arts? What does the written word refer to regarding deeper or other realities, and what special role does it play in Christianity?

Come join us for Writing: The Sacred Vocation with Fr. Anselm Ramelow, a philosophy professor in aesthetics, philosophy professor in aesthetics, for an evening of talks pondering these questions and hearing selected works from writers—some published—in the SF Art Forum Writers Group led by Alaish Wren and Nyami Agh. This isn't just an ordinary writer's night; it's an exploration of the deep connection between Writing x Theology.

The evening will begin with an opening reflection on the role of Catholic art and writing within the Christian tradition, followed by featured readings of original work from several writers. Attendees will then participate in a short, collaborative writing exercise before wrapping up with opportunities to connect with the writer's group and explore their work online.
