About this Event
Writing the Living World: A Nature Writing Workshop
Join author Charlie Bingham for a one-off nature writing workshop exploring the living world through the senses.
This gentle, guided session invites you to slow down, notice more deeply, and reconnect with the natural world through mindful observation. Using sight, sound, touch, and the details of place, we’ll explore how to tune into the life just outside our front doors, wherever we are and how those moments of attention can become the starting point for powerful writing.
Through prompts and guided exercises, you’ll have space to observe, reflect, and write in your own way. We’ll explore how sensory detail can shape nonfiction, poetry, and storytelling, while helping you discover your own voice on the page.
Whether you’re an experienced writer or simply curious to try something new, this workshop offers a welcoming space to pay attention, gather impressions, and turn them into words.
There will be time to write quietly, reflect, and share if you’d like, but there’s no pressure.
Bring a packed lunch. Tea and coffee available to buy.
