Writing the Land with La Sala

Join La Sala for an inspiring evening celebrating Latine/x poets who have participated in Writing the Land, a project by NatureCulture that highlights the deep connection between poetry, place, and conservation. Much like the anthology You Are Here, curated by Ada Limón, this event explores how poetry can honor landscapes, foster reflection on our relationship with the natural world, and inspire environmental stewardship. Writing the Land pairs poets with conserved lands, encouraging works that give voice to these spaces and the need to protect them. Through partnerships with nonprofit and environmental organizations, the project raises awareness of land stewardship. About Seattle Reads: Seattle Reads is a city-wide book group, where people are encouraged to read and discuss the same book. It’s designed to deepen engagement in literature through reading and discussion.  
Everyone is invited to participate in Seattle Reads by reading the featured book, joining in a book discussion, and/or attending programs with the featured writer.
