Join us for an evening of poetry celebrating land conservation and stewardship in partnership with La Sala.
About this Event

Join La Sala for an inspiring evening celebrating Latine/x poets who have participated in Writing the Land, a project by NatureCulture that highlights the deep connection between poetry, place, and conservation. Much like the anthology You Are Here, curated by Ada Limón, this event explores how poetry can honor landscapes, foster reflection on our relationship with the natural world, and inspire environmental stewardship. Writing the Land pairs poets with conserved lands, encouraging works that give voice to these spaces and the need to protect them. Through partnerships with nonprofit and environmental organizations, the project raises awareness of land stewardship. Learn more about Writing the Land at writingtheland.org and about La Sala at lasalaseattle.org.

This program is presented as part of Seattle Reads "You Are Here."
