We are delighted to present this workshop held over two sessions, to unlock your creative voice led by writer Matthew J Gunn.
Matthew is a UK based screenwriter, author, and writing tutor. He graduated in Film with BA Hons in 1997. As a screenwriter Matthew has had feature films produced and distributed through Sony Home Entertainment, 4 Digital Media, and Vertical Entertainment, among others. Alongside festival writing award nominations at LA Neo Noir, LA Cinefest, Buffalo, and London Portobello Road. Over the years he has built long-term collaborations with award-winning director Mike Le Han, and BAFTA nominated company White Lantern Films.
Stage plays Matthew has written have been performed across London, Surrey, and Europe, including the Rhoda McGraw, New Victoria, Jackson's Lane and London Courtyard Theatres.
Winning a European writers' award for his version of Samuel Beckett's 'First Love'. He has managed and tutored writing workshops for students of all ages at Universities, Film Schools and Colleges.
As an author, Matthew has four fiction books published. The genres vary from crime-thrillers, to coming of age drama, an apocalyptic sci-fi, and a Vietnam war story. He has recently released a first factual book on film history called Noir, Nihilism, and Crime, The Forgotten Films 1970-1989.
Matthew supports cancer research and hospice charities, giving proceeds of his novels in dedication and in memory of his beautiful mum.
