About this Event
Collaborate with your queer peers and hone your craft in this queer writing workshop with award-winning author Will Kostakis.
In this workshop, you will work on your creative process, creating authentic queer moments in your writing, and participate in collective exercises that make writing and editing less intimidating.
This workshop is appropriate for ages 14+. Lunch will be provided.
First published at 19, Will Kostakis is best known for writing whip-smart comedies that break (then mend) hearts, and occasionally making national news for resisting local book and author bans. We Could Be Something is his latest novel. Dubbed by some overzealous reviewers as a new queer classic, it won the 2024 Prime Minister’s Literary Award for Young Adult Literature.
Free tickets are available for First Nations people. Please reach out to us at to book your tickets.
