"Playing Around with Poetry” lead by La Kata E.K.
In this class, not only will you learn about multiple styles of poetry, you will write your own poems to each style as well! By doing so, you will be able to find out which style suits the poet within you.
La Kata E.K. is a multi-published author whose main genre is poetry. She began writing when she was 13 years old and has written five poetry books to date. Writing was, and still is, a form of therapy for her. She feels that writing is a healthy form of expression that allows her to express herself in a way that cannot be controlled or restricted by anyone.
The WritersShop Writing Workshop series is hosted by Lucas County Poet Laureate, Jonie McIntire. Workshops highlight varied topics and each month feature a different literary leader. For October, we will be meeting at the West Toledo Library Branch.
