Sign up for the eight-week Comicbook Writing Skills Development workshop. Each 2-hour session will provide you the skills to take your writing skills to the next level.
Independent comicbook & graphic novel writer/publisher Lane Fobbs will explain basic writing techniques and how to incorporate them in into key writing areas including:

BUILDING YOUR MAIN CHARACTER
SYNOPSIS/TAG LINE
STORY SETTING DEVELOPMENT

Skills learned throughout this workshop are applicable to various sequential storytelling mediums such as comicbooks, graphic novels, children's storybooks, manga, etc.
Meet and network at the end of the workshop in our creator showcase. The showcase provides participants the space to feature their work, and engage with fellow writers, editors and artists for project collaboration to bring their project to life.
About the Instructor:
Native Houstonian Lane Fobbs is a creative who has used his writing and character creation skills in various entertainment mediums but comicbooks and graphic novels are where they truly shine. The best selling short-run comicbook series BECKY ,now graphic novel is his first comicbook series. Lane quickly followed up the success of BECKY with an action graphic novel RICHARD GREEN and BLACK FACTS ABOUT EACH UNITED STATE ,a graphic novel. When not writing and instructing, Lane enjoys traveling, and spending quality time with his family.
