Join us this November for the Writers' Studio & Salon at the Eudora Welty House & Garden!
For the first three Saturdays of November, writers of all levels are invited to drop in for community writing sessions from 12:30–4:30 p.m. Bring your notebook or laptop, settle into the Welty Garden or Visitor Center, and enjoy a creative afternoon with fellow Mississippi writers. Work solo or collaborate—free coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be available. No RSVP needed for studio sessions.
On the third Saturday, we’ll close out the series with a special Writers' Salon in partnership with the Mississippi Humanities Council Speakers Bureau from 2–4 p.m. Led by award‑winning writer and instructor Richelle Putnam, this discussion‑based workshop will guide participants through writing time, small‑group conversations, and an optional group reading. The salon is free and open to all ages, but space in the Welty Garage is limited.
To RSVP or find more information, please visit our events calendar at welty.mdah.ms.gov/events-calendar.
