This one’s for the romance writers and the romance readers! We are so excited to welcome author and former publishing executive, Bryn Donovan, to our Grand Rapids event studio for a one-hour “Write Your Romance Novel” class, followed by a signing of her newest release, Her Knight at the Museum (also soon to be a Hallmark movie).Please note that the workshop portion of this event is for beginning to intermediate writers as well as for the romance writing-curious. Participants should bring something to write with, such as a journal, notebook, laptop, or a smartphone with a notes app. There will be a couple of writing exercises, just a few minutes apiece, but no one will be asked to share. Bryn won’t put anyone on the spot!

About the Author:
Bryn Donovan is an author and a former publishing executive who blogs about writing and living a creative life at BrynDonovan.com. Her most recent novel is the spicy magical romcom Her Knight at the Museum from Berkley, and the sequel, Her Time Traveling Duke, will be out soon. Her nonfiction books for writers include 5,000 Writing Prompts, and the interactive journal for making a fresh start, The Book of Dreams Come True.
She earned her MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Arizona, and she’s published articles in Writer’s Digest and McSweeney’s as well as work in literary magazines such as Ploughshares, The Antioch Review, and North American Review. She was the story developer for two Hallmark Channel Christmas movies.
She lives in the Chicago area, and she loves rescue dogs, vinyl records, cheap vintage dresses, crafts, and staying up way too late to read.
